Program: Associate of Occupational Science in Ultrasound Technology

Program Description: A program that prepares individuals, under the supervision of physicians, to utilize medical ultrasound techniques to gather sonographic data used to diagnose a variety of conditions and diseases. Includes instruction in obtaining, reviewing, and integrating patient histories and data patient instruction and care anatomic, physiologic and pathologic data recording sonographic data processing sonography equipment operation and professional standards and ethics.

Prerequisites:
Have a High School Diploma from an approved/accredited High School or a GED and be at least 18 years of age to be able to enroll in core program. Complete the entrance exam (UCAT). Submit a one-page essay in APA format. Complete an interview. Applicants may request credit granting for some/all prerequisites after submitting an original transcript that proves equivalent coursework was successfully completed within the last 5 years and given a grade of at least a "C." All credit granting is subject to the approval of the Program Director or Program Coordinator. Please allow 7 days for review.
