Program: Phlebotomy Training Program

Program Description: The Phlebotomy Program at Porterville Adult School is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment as certified phlebotomy technicians in clinical and laboratory settings. This comprehensive course provides both theoretical instruction and hands-on training in the safe and effective collection of blood specimens for diagnostic testing. Students will learn essential skills including venipuncture and capillary collection techniques, proper patient identification, infection control procedures, specimen handling and processing, and adherence to state and federal regulations.
