Program: Nursing Assistant

Program Description: Porterville Adult School’s Nurse Assistant Program is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in the healthcare field as Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs). This comprehensive program provides students with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on clinical experience necessary to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, long-term care, rehabilitation facilities, and home health environments. The curriculum integrates classroom instruction with supervised clinical training to ensure students develop competency in essential areas such as patient care, infection control, vital signs monitoring, communication, and ethical practices. Emphasis is placed on professionalism, cultural responsiveness, and adherence to state and federal healthcare regulations.

Prerequisites:
