Program Description:	This 35.5 unit Medical Assisting Program offers training in administrative (front office) and clinical (back) office procedures. This program comes with a recommended additional 5 units in College Study Skills for adaptability to College for those who have never attended or are re-entering students and Employability Skills to provide students the necessary tools to secure employment upon program completion. In addition to the required courses, participants must submit proof of a medical health clearance, documentation of immunization, a negative PPD skin test or chest x-ray in case of a positive skin test and a criminal background check. Health Care Provider CPR is required of all students in the Medical Assisting Program. This class will be outsourced by the ACT Program and billed separately as it is the student's responsibility to provide prior to externship assignment.
