Program: Massage Therapy

Program Description: The Massage Therapy program is designed to prepare the student to function competently as a professional massage therapist in a variety of settings. The unique curriculum contains the best of Eastern, Western, ancient modalities and the latest skills and techniques. The student will receive ample hands-on training and knowledge required to function in a variety of settings including massage clinics, hospitals, doctors offices, sporting events and more.Massage Therapy is a healing art with a history going back thousands of years. The first written records of massage therapy are from China, but the benefits of massage therapy were well known across the entire world. Those traditions of long ago are the roots of modern-day massage therapy.In many countries today, massage therapists work side by side with other medical professionals. The demand for massage therapists has greatly increased over the past few years with the renewed interest in health and well-being that is sweeping the country.

Prerequisites:
Admission the schools Massage Therapy program requires that the prospective student be at least 18 years of age, and have a High School diploma, or General Education Diploma (GED), or pass an approved USDOE ability to benefit test. Due to the nature of the massage therapy field any student that has been convicted of a crime that is of sexual nature will be denied admission in the program.
