Program: Excavator

Program Description: Identifies and describes the common types, uses, and components of excavators. Presents safety guidelines, prestart inspection procedures, and preventative maintenance requirements. Describes basic startup and operation, and covers common work activities associated with excavators. This course includes 8 hours of classroom training and 32 hours of hands-on training.

Prerequisites:
Participants must complete ABC Grade Checking course prior to enrollment in Backhoe. ABC Training Academy trainees must be: 16 years of age, physically able to perform all essential functions of the craft and adapt to the job environment.
