Program: Construction Technology

Program Description: The Construction Technology course is designed to equip students with the technical skills required in the various construction technology careers, including woodworking, mill working, framing, roofing, concrete, masonry, insulation, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and finish work. Students will receive instruction in the classroom, shop, laboratory, and on job sites. All methods of instruction are aligned to the California State Academic Standards in English Language-Arts, Mathematics, and the California Department of Education Career Technical Education Building Trades and Construction Technology Industry Standards.

All students must be at least 18 years of age, Recommended 8th grade math level, Possession of a High School Diploma, Equivalency Diploma or GED, Ability to do strenuous physical labor and other strenuous activities such as lifting, bending, reaching, and climbing, Ability to obtain a driver’s license
