Program Description: A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to drive trucks and buses, delivery vehicles, for-hire vehicles and other commercial vehicles, or to instruct commerical vehicle operators. Includes instruction in operating gas, diesel, or electrically-powered vehicles; loading and unloading cargo or passengers; reporting delays or accidents on the road; verifying load against shipping papers; arranging transportation for personnel; and keeping records of receipts and fares.

Prerequisites:
Potential trainees must pass a background check and drug screen for consideration for enrollment. The following is required: 18 years of age, High School Diploma or GED, California Driver’s License, SS card (NOT laminated), H-6 DMV 10 year report, Certified Birth Certificate, Proof of Residence in CaliforniaDESCRIPTION: This basic Class B Commercial Truck Driver Course meets industry standards for an entry level job as a Commercial Class B Driver.
