Program Description: | A program that prepares individuals, under the supervision of office managers and other professionals, to perform routine administrative duties in a medical, clinical, or health care facility/system office environment. This comprehensive course teaches students all the skills necessary to become multi-skilled front office medical assistant. It provides solid understanding of medical office environment, including proper telephone procedures, proper techniques to interact with patients, staff, and the management of patient activities and records. Students will comprehend medical ethics vs. medical laws, and the correct spelling and pronunciation of medical terms as they relate to the body system. This course also teaches students how to utilize Microsoft Office programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. |
